The seventh international conference on ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF NETWORKS will be held in cooperation with the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (EMS), University of the Western Cape (http://www.uwc.ac.za/faculties/ems) from December 3 – 5, 2015, in Cape Town, South Africa. The purpose of the conference is to provide an international discussion forum for research in economics and management of networks.
Theoretical, conceptual and empirical papers from all areas in economics and management of franchising, retailing, cooperatives, financial networks, joint ventures, strategic alliances, clusters, virtual networks and other hybrids are invited.

In addition, we organize two SPECIAL WORKSHOPS with an interdisciplinary focus:
(I) COLLABORATIVE GOVERNANCE, which refers to the research on the interconnectedness of the institutional structure of the economy, which examines how networks within the public sector and between public and private sector as well as NGOs facilitate the functioning of the overall system, and
(II) LEADERSHIP, NEGOTIATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN NETWORKS, which recognizes that conflict is inherent in network relationships and that leadership (in different forms) may be needed for network governance, in order to ensure network effectiveness. Possible workshop themes are:
-Bridging the skills gap through network relationships
-Negotiation and conflict resolution within networks
-Leadership in multi-organisational networks
-Resolving diversity conflict in network relationships

For researchers from African countries who want to present their research in FRENCH LANGUAGE, we will offer workshop sessions in French language.

CONFERENCE FEES
(I) Regular Conference Fees: 200 EUR
(II) Reduced Fees: Researchers from African countries and less developed countries are requested to pay 150 EUR.
The conference fee covers reception on Thursday, coffee breaks, lunch on Friday and Saturday and conference dinner on Friday.
